Weapon Durability Guide

Durability Points, also known as DP, is a feature representing the endurance of crafted items or store bought items forged by the Smiths of the world. Based on the tier, which is determined by the level of mastery a Smith possesses and ore level incorporation, creations are assigned DP amounts. Ore is the necessary material, because it is the primary and only component to forging customized weaponry, armor or accessories. With this feature normal techniques pose no threat to any custom weaponry or armor, excluding store purchased items, unless one has successfully achieved the Strength perks granting Weapon Breaking Damage or the Power of Destruction ability known as Breaker.

Copper Grade (15 DP) Copper is a material that has been used in construction for many thousands of decades. It is abundant in quantity and easy to mine. However, this also makes copper a fairly weak metal, with its main use being in weaponry, armor, and engineering. As a result weapons and armory made from it will break after only a little bit of use.

Stone Grade (30 DP) Stone is a tough, hardy and readily available material that has been used in construction as far back as the earliest humans. Weapons and armors made from stone are rough, course, and fairly easy to break by weapons made from superior materials. The main, and possibly only advantage of stone grade weapons is the ease at which to craft them.

Iron  Grade (45 DP) Iron is a tough but largely simple metal that is by mass the most common element on Earth. Iron on its own corrodes easily, and is mainly used in the construction of ornamental items and the production of steel. Iron can still be used to make weapons of a basic quality.

Bronze ” Grade (60 DP) Bronze is a fairly tough alloy consisting primarily of copper mixed with a few other metals, usually tin. Bronze tools, weapons, armor and building materials are a lot harder and more durable than their stone and copper predecessors, and as a result are a lot more useful in battle. Materials, particularly weapons, that are made from bronze will serve their wielders well, and would take a great deal of force to break.

Steel  Grade (75 DP) Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon that is widely used in construction and other applications because of its hardness and tensile strength. Steel grade weapons are extremely tough and durable, and as such make the perfect tools for a warrior seeking to prove his strength to the world. While they are not the perfect weapons, and will break if enough damage is sustained, they will definitely serve their purpose well.

Meito Grade (100 DP) Meito grade weapons are made from a combination of the rarest and most durable metals available across the world. The process of forging them is extremely intricate, and doable only by the most skilled and experienced of smiths, but the resulting weapons are the finest that can be acquired through regular means. Superb grade weapons are only able to be broken by a tremendous amount of sustained damage, which cannot be inflicted by ordinary warriors.

Supreme Grade (100 DP) Supreme grade weapons are made from an undefinable metal that is almost impossible to acquire, and has a mythical quality to it. Supreme grade weapons are the rarest weapons a person can acquire, and there are only a few of them available around the world. This makes them a precious commodity, one that countless people would risk their lives to try and acquire.

Novice – Considering that the Smith is the lowest level from mastery of the Forging Arts, novice level ore is the first and simplest kind of composition. The most basic type of ore available, novice ores are only capable on one modifying effect; that is to increase a weapon's DP by 25 Points

I.E: Two Novice Ore on Z-Rank Weapon (100 DP) = 150 DP since 1 Novice Ore would increase the DP by 25 DP, then the 2nd Novice Ore would increase the DP by another 25 DP because the Original Rank was 100 DP.

Adept – After the Smith has developed the discipline to reach the next level on the path to mastering the Forging Arts, they are able to craft more advanced types of ore. Adept ores, unlike novice ores, are capable of having another effect aside from the standard DP increase which now increased to 50 Points.

I.E: Two Adept Ore on Z-Rank Weapon (100 DP) = 200 DP since 1 Adept Ore would increase the DP by 50 DP, then the 2nd Adept Ore would increase the DP by another 50 DP because the Original Rank was 100 DP.

Master – A feat only capable after a Smith has developed the discipline to master the Forging Arts, they have now earned the ability to create a rare commodity. Master ores, in addition to the two modifiers provided by adept ores, are also able to have a completely separate auxiliary effect, such as infusing a weapon with ore that grants it unnatural flexibility. Master ores are capable of increasing DP by 100 Points based on rank.

weapon  breaking techniques

A special feature of Soul Samurai is weapon breaking techniques, this translates to being able to break weapons with your bare hands (or lowering that weapons DP) To achieve such techniques which can only be purchased in the move shop, a player needs to reach a certain criteria of physical strength. The strength title that needs to be achieved is vigorous, once you reach this level, you must buy weapon breaking techniques from a game shop. Another alternative is earning it through an adventure. If you look below you will notice a chart with titles and number, the numbers represent how many durability points you can take an opponents weapon down by. [b]You cannot take a weapon's durability down by regular techniques or by SOME of your own techniques. It must be a WBT technique.

Supreme Rank Destruction125 DP
Meito Rank Destruction
100 DP
 Steel Rank Destruction
75 DP
Iron - Bronze Rank Destruction
60 DP
Copper Rank Destruction

Stone Rank Destruction30 DP

This post will be going over how durable a weapon is and how weapons are on the same status, along with ones that outclass others. I'll be sizing up the the same weapon classes and ones above it, one thing you should know is when a weapon clashes with another, it will  lower in durability. One thing you should understand is that even if your on the defense end of things, blocking someone's offense with your weapon. It will lose durability, and if your on offense and their blocking your attacks, your weapon will still lose durability. Be careful with how you swing your junk around, might go flyin' off.

Copper Grade

Copper VS Copper = Will be a total loss of 1 Durability point(s).

Copper VS Stone = Will be a total loss of 1 Durability point(s).
